Altitud is lightly peated (11 ppm in the malt) and has strong influences of Swedish and Hungarian oak. The average age of the included whisky is 6.26 years and the alcohol content is set at 46%. The recipe for Altitud consists of a careful combination of casks to create a smooth and accessible whisky that still has character and carries our unmistakable flavour profile.

Share Holder 2016 was the first edition intended exclusively for shareholders in Box Destilleri AB. In Box distillery, other shareholder sales were issued, but then with whisky produced by Scottish distilleries.

Box American Oak can be said to be the inspiration to the series about the importance of oak that came the following year under the name Quercus. American Oak received great recognition among whisky connoisseurs around the world for its quality and maturity despite only 5 years in the warehouses.

In November 2016, Box PX, a whisky matured in the most powerful sherry variety Pedro Ximenez, was launched. The whisky was originally designed to meet the need for this style of whisky from the Taiwanese market. The issue was also sold to a limited extent in other markets.

For some, our Origin Series box is an ideal introduction to our way of creating single malt. For others, it might serve as a perfect snapshot of High Coast Whisky right now. Whatever your interests, what you do get is a box packed full of exquisite whisky.

Creating a single malt whisky exclusively for the SAS Business class passengers was both an honor and great fun. The result, Atmosfär, is a lightly peated whisky and carries High Coasts unmistakable flavour profile.

Alba is a meeting between northern Swedish whisky craftsmanship and American nature: an encounter that has lingered and deepened over the years. Experience has shown us that when our pristine and pure distillate matures in casks of new American white oak something sparks, something that might be called magic, but which of course is mostly chemistry.

Single malt whisky and cognac have a rich history. They are made in a similar way but differ in ingredients – one is made from malted barley and the other from grapes. In this meeting we see two valued spirits come together.

It is not that common for Solera bottles to be presented in the whisky world. Not genuine ones anyway, although there are some Solera offerings that provide a partial experience. But now it’s time for us Northerners to put our unique twist on this classic Spanish system to salt away and develop high-quality spirits.
