Special Release 2026
Special Release represents the most exclusive whiskies we can find in our warehouses. The standards are high, and it is only after careful evaluation that they can be approved as worthy additions to our new series.
The third release in the Special Release series is a 15-year-old whisky that has achieved exactly what we set out to do. Nine carefully selected 200-litre bourbon casks were filled on 9 February 2011 with a 68% ABV spirit. After 13 years of maturation and natural evaporation, water was added to each cask to achieve an alcohol content of 54%. The lower strength brought out slightly more water-soluble compounds from the oak. The result was a slightly sweeter and fuller-bodied whisky. At bottling, we chose to dilute the whisky to 51.5%
